TUNI Moodle was slow and unreliable on Monday, 19 October, between 10:10 and 15:15. The service disruption caused errors especially during peak usage periods at 10:15, 12:15, and 14:15. The issues were caused by overload on the Moodle service provider’s virtual server platform and were not solely due to a higher-than-usual number of concurrent users on TUNI Moodle. As a result of the performance problems, for example some Moodle quiz attempts failed due to database errors.
Our Moodle service provider will make server changes during the evening of 19 October to ensure the performance of the database servers. The changes are not expected to cause a service interruption.
