The biggest change concerns the MathJax library used by STACK questions. MathJax is a JavaScript library that converts formulas written in LaTeX code into visual mathematical expressions in a web browser, which screen readers can also read easily. After this update, STACK questions use a newer MathJax version 3.2.2, while elsewhere in Moodle version 2.7.9 is still in use. The MathJax change does not affect the logic of STACK questions, but the same formulas may appear slightly different in STACK quiz questions than elsewhere.
The update also introduced other small changes to STACK questions and may therefore affect how questions work. It is recommended to check the functionality of your own questions. In problem situations, contact IT Helpdesk.
