During the maintenance break on 20.2.2025, two changes were made to Moodle that are visible to teachers:
- IP addresses are no longer visible to teachers in the log event reports of the Moodle course. Reason for the change: data protection.
- New block: Lecture capture scheduling
The new block provides a link to the Lecture Capture Schedule Assistant tool, which you as a teacher can use to schedule recordings and streaming of your own lectures on the Panopto video platform from selected university lecture halls. You can also use the tool to edit the details of recordings that have already been scheduled. The block only works in courses created by Sisu.
To add a block to your Moodle course:
Turn Edit mode on > Add block (top right) > Lecture capture scheduling
The block is only visible to the course teachers. Deleting the block does not affect the recording schedules in any way and does not replace the Panopto block.
