The course covers selected topics in image processing. It introduces students to more advanced concepts in image sensing, processing and interpretation, which require rigorous mathematical description and the involvement of modern computing platforms. Particular topics such as image resizing, transform-domain image processing and wavelets, image segmentation and compression, image restoration and quality assessment are presented.
