Teaching and Learning in Higher Education is a pedagogical introductory
course. It is based on considering teaching and learning both theoretically and
practically, in societal context. It focuses on supporting and organising
learning in versatile and collaborative learning environments, with a view on
promoting agency of both the teacher and the student.
In this course, academic work practices are explored from the perspective of pedagogical knowledge and developing expertise. The general starting points for the course are:
· developing the work processes of teachers and pedagogical communities
· enhancing the relationship between research and teaching
· strengthening the participation and agency of students
· using and developing different learning environments
The participants carry out a pedagogical project (e.g. pedagogical development of their own course) and observe & analyze reciprocally teaching and learning practices.
