This course gives an overview of the higher education in the dynamic context of digitalisation, before students proceed with more specific themes related to teaching and learning in the digital world.
Firstly, students will get on overview of trends and reforms that are shaping higher education globally and in Finland, and learn to reflect how these trends impact the higher education systems in their countries and regions.
Secondly, students will learn the basics on planning online learning, the possibilities of digital tools and learning materials and about digital evaluation and assessment.
Thirdly, students will try out the digital teaching and learning methods and ideas they have learned in this course in their own teaching.
